Dignidad Rebelde is a Bay Area-based artistic collaboration between Melanie Cervantes and Jesus Barraza, rooted in principles of Xicanisma and Zapatismo to produce art as a radical visual language. Art is resistance, transformative, and belongs to the people. The webiste shows many beautiful and powerful examples of art created for this purpose and related to many different liberation struggles. Also included is a slidedeck by Jesus Barraza and Melanie Cervantes that outlines the process of creating a piece with this revolutionary intention.
